Frequently Asked Questions

What is an online makerspace?
An online makerspace is a digital environment where students design, build, and test engineering projects, just like a physical makerspace, but with zero supplies, setup, or storage. Qweebi's online makerspace runs in the browser on any Chromebook and includes 13+ ready-to-run STEM projects for grades 3–8.
What grade levels is Qweebi for?
Qweebi is designed for grades 3–8, with projects and challenges differentiated for upper elementary students in grades 3–5 and middle school students in grades 6–8.
Where can Qweebi be used?
Qweebi can be used in science classes, STEM or STEAM labs, technology classes, after-school programs, summer camps, and homeschool settings. It works for both in-person and remote learning.
Do students need individual student licenses?
Every student gets their own free account so their work and progress are saved automatically. Teachers can create a class, share a class code, or import students from supported rostering platforms.
Is Qweebi standards-aligned?
Yes. Qweebi projects are aligned to NGSS performance expectations. Robotics and coding projects are also aligned to CSTA standards. Each project page lists the standards connected to that project.
Is Qweebi safe for students?
Yes. Qweebi is designed to comply with COPPA and FERPA. We collect only the student information needed to provide classroom activities, and we never sell student data or use it for advertising. Schools and districts can contact [email protected] for privacy reviews or Data Privacy Agreements.
